Aiming for Excellence in Corporate Activities and the Realization of a Sustainable Society

Kazuma Sekiya President and COO

In light of the recent changes surrounding business situations in economic and global environments as well as in science and technology, the expected content and quality of the corporate activities and social responsibilities that companies are being called upon to fulfill are continually evolving. DISCO Group established a corporate philosophy called “DISCO VALUES” in 1997, which defines the ideal corporate state from a universal point of view.

DISCO VALUES clearly states our Corporate Vision(target), as the following: “By achieving excellence in all of our corporate activities, our existence will be welcomed by our stakeholders and society.” This target includes DISCO Group’s view on sustainability, that as a corporation which provides technology and services regarded as an international standard, we will flexibly respond to changes in society and enhance every aspect of our corporate activities, including not only business-related activities but also environmental, social, and other activities, and raise them to a level that will satisfy our target. In addition, it is also clearly stated that “DISCO conducts stakeholder-oriented management,” and we have continued to carry out corporate activities that are focused on our stakeholders. As such, we believe that DISCO VALUES, which aims for universality, can sufficiently respond to society’s demands for today’s corporations. Additionally, in order to ensure the effectiveness of DISCO VALUES, we create a milestone called DISCO VISION every 10 years and track our progress. Currently, we have defined DISCO VISION 2030 as the business challenges and important issues that need to be realized by the end of 2030.

DISCO will continue to evolve by aiming for true excellence in all our corporate activities, and continue to grow and improve our mid-to-long term corporate value while contributing towards the realization of a sustainable society by putting DISCO VALUES into practice. We look forward to your continued support and cooperation.
