Manufacturing and shipment of DISCO products (update)
This is an update regarding the effects of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
This press release is based on the latest information as of May 12.
Precision Processing Equipment
As stated in the April 28 press release, shipments for June will proceed as scheduled.
For shipments scheduled for July and beyond, measures will be implemented to deal with potential disruption in supplies of parts and raw materials, such as modified designs and sourcing from alternative suppliers.
Precision Diamond Products
As stated in the March 15 press release, DISCO has a 6 month supply of raw materials in stock as part of our BCM (business continuity management) measures. We are continuously replenishing this stock to ensure a constant 6 month supply to maintain our production and shipment schedule.
Supply of Parts
The current supply system will be maintained for both domestic and overseas customers.
