DISCO Corporation (Headquarters: Ota-ku, Tokyo, President: Kazuma Sekiya) was selected as one of the 4 finalists for the SEMICON West 2009 Sustainable Technologies Award, for the development of the DWR1720 deionized water recycling unit.
What is the SEMICON West 2009 Sustainable Technologies Award?
The award, which is debuting this year, recognizes SEMICON West 2009 exhibitors who have developed and introduced equipment, materials or services into the marketplace that contribute to sustainable improvement of the environment. The Sustainable Technologies Award was open to any SEMICON West 2009 exhibitor, and entries could be for equipment, materials or services introduced into the market within the last three years.
Four finalists have been selected for final consideration. Final judging will be done by a panel of EHS experts after the conclusion of SEMICON West, and the winner will be announced in August.

Selection
Selection will be conducted by a panel of judges comprised of leading EHS professionals in semiconductor and related high technology fields, but not directly engaged in providing equipment, materials or services to the industry. |
