Impact of the Kumamoto Prefecture Earthquakes on DISCO (2nd report)

Since early morning on April 16 (Saturday), earthquakes have been intermittently occurring centered around Kumamoto and Oita Prefecture. This news release has been issued to notify you of the impact that the earthquakes have had on DISCO.

Several of DISCO’s suppliers are located in Kumamoto Prefecture or Oita Prefecture. However, we have confirmed that the procurement of parts and materials for DISCO products has not been impacted.

These events have had no impact on DISCO’s precision processing equipment and precision processing tool shipments from Hiroshima Works. However, due to logistics related circumstances, shipments bound for some areas in the Kyushu region may be impacted.

Kyushu Office (Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture)

We have confirmed the safety of all employees in the Kyushu Office. However, some of the employees will not attend work to ensure their safety. As mentioned in the previous news release, the Sales Division in the Tokyo Head Office is accepting all inquiries concerning the impact of the earthquakes.
