Blade Edge Shape Correction: Flat Dress

With edge trimming used as a countermeasure to wafer edge cracking (link: Refer to Edge Chipping Countermeasure, Wide Range of Applications for Edge Trimming), the blade edge shape collapses. This issue introduces flat dress to flatten the blade edge shape.

Practical Example

The edge shape of edge trimmed blades gradually collapses. It is possible to return the edge to a flat shape using flat dress.

By cutting the dresser board with the blade edge with a collapsed shape and moving the spindle front and rear, the blade edge is made flat.
