Commitment to SBT Certification

DISCO CORPORATION (including its group companies) made a commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)*1, an international organization that certifies greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets based on scientific evidence, on October 28, 2025. This marks DISCO’s commitment to obtaining certification for the Science Based Targets (SBT)*2.
Within two years, DISCO aims to set a near-term GHG emissions reduction targets, as defined by the SBTi, aligned with the level required by the Paris Agreement*3.


*1 SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative): An international initiative jointly operated by the CDP, the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). It assesses and certifies whether corporate GHG reduction targets are science-based and consistent with the goals of the Paris Agreement.

*2 SBT (Science Based Targets): GHG emissions reduction targets set by companies based on scientific evidence and aligned with the level required by the Paris Agreement.

*3 Paris Agreement: An international accord adopted in 2015 in Paris to address climate change, setting a shared long-term global goal to limit the increase in average global temperature to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
